My parents bought a small painting and hung it above their fireplace, it is now the centerpiece of their living room. It fits perfectly between the large bookcases. As the dude would put it: it really brings the room together. The simple unassuming painting, but beautiful, freshened my appreciation for this kind of art. This is not a masterpiece or something hyped, but a gem that makes a couple of people happy. A winter landscape by Lion Schulman.

Of course I remembered my own attempt at painting from a couple of years ago. It hangs somewhere in my house (location changes once in while).

Because of the moving of pictures in my parents’ house, to make room for the winter landscape, a photograph I gave them long ago now hangs in the vestibule. I am very happy with that, it is the best place for it.
